Its been so long!

Its been so long since I’ve written a Blog. And so much has changed in the World since the last one. In and out of lockdowns for almost two years, we’re now learning to live with Covid. Who would have thought two years ago that the whole world would be so affected and so many lives lost, so many lives changed.

I know people who have lost friends and family to Covid, which must be devastating and difficult to process and accept. I know some who have refused to be vaccinated for various reasons. I know more and more people who have it. I know many who have lost their livelihoods and have had to adapt just to survive. Without getting into the politics of it all, whatever your experiences or whatever your beliefs, we need to remain vigilant, but we need to move on.

Personally I’ve had to adapt. All my work just dissolved overnight. Visits to The Netherlands to teach training courses ground to a halt. I went online, it was a solution, but not an ideal one. My theatre work dried up and is still not back up and running. But I’m in the process of starting two new businesses and hope to revive my ‘old’ work asap.

I hope everyone reading this is feeling optimistic for the future. I think we have to be. There is no point in being weighed down by the prospect of further hardship, mutations of the virus or possible restrictions. We just have to get on with it and pick up the pieces. Adapt, be positive, be kind, be vigilant and get on with living.
